Welcome.

On this site you can find a summary of my research activities. I used different imaging and force spectroscopy techniques to better understand biological processes from a single molecule level towards the tissue scale. On the single molecule scale, I used atomic force microscopy to better understand the mechanisms behind protein folding and cargo transport inside a cell. On the cell and tissue scale, the simultaneous use of imaging techniques and mechanical mapping allowed for new insights into bacterial infection pathways, cellular mechanobiology and the keratinization process of the nascent hair. As the head of the advanced research imaging group at L'Oréal I am interested in different imaging techniques to better understand the biophysics of skin and hair.
